SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

The University offers a small number of institutional scholarships designed to recognize academic excellence and provide access to the best and brightest students regardless of circumstance. In addition to University-Sponsored Scholarships, we are working to procure unique scholarship opportunities for our students.

All awards must be used towards the cost of tuition and are credited directly to the student's account each term by Student Financial Services. Awards are made for the length of the student's entire curriculum and prorated on the term/academic year schedule. The award letter will outline the details of the award.

In order for a student to plan in advance for the financial obligations associated with attending American International University West Africa, most applications and awards are made prior to their registration and enrolment in the School.

The Department of Financial Aid, in consultation with the school's Financial Aid committee, makes the selection of award recipients. Award determinations are based on academic excellence, the degree of the family's financial need and the availability of funds from the School, as well as each scholarship's specified criteria.
